Opera Wilmington’s creative team has announced that Mozart’s Don Giovanni will be our production next July. This work, considered one of the greatest operas of all time, follows the promiscuous nobleman who defeats and deflects all attempts to “curb his enthusiasms” until he is confronted by a force that is too strong for him. Don Giovanni blends comedic, dramatic and tragic elements into a powerful and exciting whole, with a score that is memorable and singable (even for those whose singing is limited to the shower!)
Performances will take place July 18, 20, 25 and 27 in UNCW’s Mainstage Theatre, located in the university’s Cultural Arts Building. You’ll hear details about the production as they develop. But mark your calendar now!
