It wasn’t just Mozart, although he started it, setting the Don Juan legend to music. Subsequent composers, smitten with Mozart’s score, have riffed on themes from the opera. You’ll hear a sampling, along with highlights from Don Giovanni itself, this coming Monday, July 14, on Pat Marriott’s show Salmagundi, which airs Monday evenings from 8 to 10 p.m. on WHQR Classical.
