Opera Wilmington’s motto is “Opera for all!” To achieve that goal, we are taking steps to ensure that our events and performances are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

As a first step, we want to acquaint you with our primary performance venue, UNCW’s Cultural Arts Building (CAB). This multi-functional building was designed to be barrier free, and it is our aim to inform our audience members how most easily to make their way around the facility and make use of its accessible features.

A second step is to make our materials – from website to event programs – easier to read for those who have visual impairments. That work is underway now.
There will be a large-print version of the program for our February 13 Caterina Jarboro Memorial Recital. Producing this is a pilot effort for us, and we hope that it is helpful for attendees. If you would like a copy of this program, please ask an usher.
