Don Juan wrote the book (literally – his assistant tells us in the “catalog” aria) on the seduction and abandonment of women. Hear about how Mozart and his librettist Lorenzo da Ponte brought the legend of the Spanish womanizer to the opera stage. In her presentation at OLLI June 26, Opera Wilmington board member Cindy Tarantino will provide an overview of the opera, introduce the main characters, and relate how Mozart and da Ponte brought the story to life on the stage.
