This Opera Talk represents the return of an Opera Wilmington – Osher Lifelong Learning Institute partnership that was received enthusiastically last fall and spring. Dr. Spencer, UNCW’s opera historian and eminent musician, provides a colorful background for each opera selected for this series.
Two more Opera Talks take place this fall at 3 p.m. on the Wednesday ahead of Live in HD screenings of Richard Strauss’s Arabella (Nov. 19) and Giordano’s Andrea Chenier (Dec. 10). They all take place in Truist Hall, 680 S. College Road in Wilmington. OLLI is offering the three-part series as a package; tickets are required and the deadline to purchase for the full series is Oct. 15.
